2019 Charitable Raffle

  1. 1. Tickets

    Tickets may be sold and purchased only in British Columbia.

    Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older.

    3 for $25; 3000 tickets;

    Final ticket sales deadline: Midnight, Sunday, September 1, 2019

    Draw
    Final draw of all prizes: Tuesday, September 3, 2019 4:00 PM

    Draw will be held at Shoal Centre 10030 Resthaven Dr. Sidney, BC V8L 3G4.

    The winning ticket is drawn using Random Number Generator software (RNG). 

    All members of the public are welcome to attend the draw.

    Winners will be posted online at https://sbts.rafflenexus.com/winners on September 4, 2019.

  4. 4. Winner

    Winner will be contacted by phone by the Sidney by the Sea Rotary Club at 1 (778) 967-4463.

    Winners consent to release of their names by licensee.

    If a winning ticket bears a minor's name, the prize will be lawfully delivered on behalf of the minor to the minor's parent, legal guardian or trustee.

    No tickets will be purchased by the Board of Directors of the Sidney by the Sea Rotary Club or employees involved with the conduct and management of the ticket raffle.

  5. 5. Privacy Policy

    Sidney by the Sea Rotary Club does not sell, rent or exchange any personal information collected from our supporters with any other organization or entity.

Cause

Each year the Rotary Club of Sidney by the Sea selects two local charities to support. The proceeds from this year’s raffle will be used to support the Food Rescue Network and Hudson House.

The Mustard Seed Street Church Food Rescue collects perishable fresh produce and dairy products that would be thrown out by local retailers and grocers. Food collected is “gleaned and cleaned” for redistribution to food banks and other agencies in the Food Share Network, where it goes to an estimated 35,000 needy people in the greater Victoria and Duncan areas. Proceeds will be used to purchase a dehydrator which will enhance and extend the capability to handle and redistribute rescued produce.

Umbrella Society provides support to individuals, and their loved ones, struggling with substance use issues. Hudson House, their only supportive recovery house for women, provides a safe, healthy environment for women. Each resident is connected with an Umbrella Outreach Worker, who will work with each of the women on their individual recovery goals and support them throughout their stay.
